Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Cleveland, Ohio

Join a high-acuity acute-care medical-surgical telemetry team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Cleveland, Ohio. Travel RN Schedule & Setting

• Healthcare Setting: Acute-care medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Nursing Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Times: Days, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Rotation: Day/night rotation may be required based on operational needs

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio 44195
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• End Date: February 12, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Holiday coverage is required at least every other holiday.
• May float to related units and the emergency department when caring for the same patient population.

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of application.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Active ACLS certification.
• Active NIHSS certification.
• Required nursing certifications must be active and in hand; pending certifications are not accepted.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation. Candidates have a maximum of two attempts to achieve an acceptable score.
• Ability to complete required pre-start education, compliance documentation, background screening, and clinical competency activities.

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize clinical changes, and promptly escalate concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following established patient-safety standards.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, technicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Support patients with complex hematology/oncology and medical-surgical diagnoses.
• Adapt to rotating day and night assignments and float to appropriate units as needed.
• Promote a respectful, compassionate, and patient-centered care experience.
