Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent permanent experience as a Med/Surg Tele RN, Telemetry Nurse, or Registered Nurse in a similar acute care setting
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty from the past 12 months required
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday
• Completion of all required pre-start compliance items and onboarding steps
• Ability to meet travel nurse compliance requirements and maintain schedule reliability

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for adult med/surg telemetry patients in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document patient care accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe patient outcomes
• Potentially float to similar patient care units based on census and staffing needs
• Support continuity of care while maintaining strong communication with patients and team members
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and clinical best practices
• Participate in orientation, required assessments, and ongoing competency expectations
