Travel RN Job Details

• Position: Medical-surgical telemetry Registered Nurse
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• End Date: February 12, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Options: Days, 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; nights, 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m. Shift assignments may rotate based on operational needs.
• Unit: Medical-surgical telemetry
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Holiday Requirement: Work at least every other holiday during the assignment
• Floating: May float to comparable units, including other medical-surgical telemetry areas and the Emergency Department, to care for the same patient population

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state RN license in hand at the time of application
• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing; 12 months of specialty experience is required
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from an accepted provider, in hand at the time of application
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, preferably from an assignment completed within the past 12 months
• Successful completion of required pre-employment screening and credential verification
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation; up to two attempts are permitted for each assessment
• Flexibility to float and work rotating day or night shifts as needed

Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other clinical indicators, escalating abnormal findings according to established protocols
• Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate documentation
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Support safe patient transitions, including admissions, transfers, discharges, and handoffs
• Float to designated units when needed while maintaining safe, compassionate care for the applicable patient population
• Participate in orientation, required learning modules, competency assessments, and ongoing quality and safety initiatives
