Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• End Date: February 12, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Times: Days, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Healthcare Setting: On-site Med/Surg Tele unit
• Scheduling Note: Travel nurses should be prepared to rotate between day and night shifts based on operational needs.
• Float Expectations: May float to comparable units and the Emergency Department to care for patients with similar needs.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of application
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Strong telemetry assessment skills and ECG rhythm recognition proficiency
• Ability to successfully complete required medication-safety and ECG assessments during orientation
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday during the assignment
• Ability to complete required background screening, health documentation, and pre-assignment education

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, administer medications, and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Support safe transitions of care and discharge planning
• Adapt effectively when floating to other areas serving a similar patient population
