Description

American Traveler is seeking a RN - Med/Surg Tele for a Med Specialty Step Down unit, requiring stepdown and tracheostomy care experience along with an active RN license.

Details

• Med Specialty Step Down unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or a multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Stepdown experience required
• Tracheostomy care experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Coordinate care with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines for onboarding and documentation
