Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• One specialty reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Must meet pre-start compliance requirements, including time-sensitive fingerprinting and screening steps
• Strong communication, critical thinking, telemetry interpretation, and acute care nursing skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused care environment
• Support continuity of care and patient education throughout the shift
