Travel Nurse Job Details

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent Med/Surg telemetry nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition, cardiac monitoring, and telemetry nursing skills
• Ability to successfully complete required orientation assessments and clinical onboarding
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty
• Ability to meet applicable background screening, health screening, and compliance requirements

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Interpret and document cardiac rhythms while responding appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, patients, and families
• Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while promoting quality care and patient safety
