Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required or strongly preferred based on unit expectations
• Manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty from the past 12 months
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Must meet all onboarding and compliance requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to care plans
• Assess patients regularly and document findings accurately and thoroughly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge needs, and recovery expectations
• Maintain professional standards, patient safety, and strong communication in a fast-paced night shift environment
