PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Shelby, North Carolina.

RN - MedSurg/Tele | RN-Medsu | Shelby, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Tele unit. The role involves providing specialized care for patients with conditions such as total joint replacements, colon resections, appendectomies, and more. Ideal candidates will have significant Med/Tele RN experience and adapt well to floating as needed within the region.

Assignment Details

  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
  • Shift times: 0645-1900, 1845-0700
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • Holiday expectations: Work 75% of holidays
  • Floating required within region and scope of practice
  • Charting system: EPIC
  • 32-bed unit with a typical census of 28

Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and manage non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone
  • Conduct wound care and manage drains/tubes
  • Start peripheral IVs and manage central lines
  • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and other support staff

Qualifications

Required:

  • 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Basic Med/Tele skillset
