Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of combined Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred or required per submission requirements
- One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the specialty from the past 12 months
- Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation
- Must be prepared to complete all pre-start compliance requirements and required modules
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on clinical needs
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support excellent patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and thorough manner
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and positive patient experiences throughout the shift
