Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred or required per facility standards
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty from the past 12 months
• Required certifications must be active and in hand at submission
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Willingness to complete all required pre-start modules and onboarding items on time

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and thorough patient care to telemetry patients in a Med/Surg unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform focused assessments, medication administration, and accurate nursing documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintain strong prioritization, organization, and time-management skills in a busy clinical setting
• Adapt quickly to travel nurse expectations while maintaining a high standard of quality care
