Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a 26-bed surgical telemetry unit requiring a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• 26-bed surgical telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population consists of those needing surgery or recovering from surgery
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4
• 3x12 day shift schedule, 7a-7p
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Last 4 of SSN and MM/DD of DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for surgical and post-surgical patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
