Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Unit: 30-bed adult medical-surgical surgical specialty unit
• Typical Patient Assignment: Approximately 5 patients per nurse, with a potential range of 5–6
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, with scheduling based on unit needs
• Floating: Required to qualified units or campuses as needed
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience; 2 years preferred
• Recent experience caring for adult medical-surgical patients with telemetry knowledge
• Experience with vascular and urology patient populations preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• At least 1 year of experience using Epic electronic medical records
• Ability to successfully complete an EKG assessment and required pre-assignment modules
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to provide weekend coverage and float to qualified units when needed

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients recovering from vascular, urology, general surgery, and related procedures
• Receive and manage patients from procedural areas, intensive care, and emergency services
• Perform focused assessments, medication administration, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes
• Complete dressing changes and care for wounds, wound vacs, drains, central lines, PICC lines, feeding tubes, and peripheral IVs
• Monitor telemetry patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Apply appropriate isolation precautions, oxygen therapy, pain management, and blood product administration practices
• Document accurately in Epic while coordinating care with interdisciplinary support teams
• Float to qualified units and perform only competencies that have been demonstrated and documented
