Join our team as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care in a progressive care unit (PCU). This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort while managing complex medical needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Step Down and Medical-Surgical units.
  • Floating as needed between Step Down and other MedSurg/Tele units.
  • Maintaining patient ratios of 1:4-5 in Step Down and 1:5-6 in MedSurg.
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must not live within 50 miles of the facility.
  • Two years of Med Surg experience required.
  • Step Down/PCU experience is essential.
  • Current South Carolina nursing license.
  • Certifications: BCLS, NIHSS, ACLS.
  • IV start experience.
  • Travel experience preferred.

Additional details:

  • Scrubs are not provided; royal blue/white scrubs are required.
  • EMR system: Meditech.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Facility will not accept any license or background hits.
