Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Flex Pool night shift role requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience floating between medical and surgical units.

Details

Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units
Floating includes Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
Medical Unit has 77 beds, Laulima (surgical acute) has 18 beds, and Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds
Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4
Ratios may vary due to unexpected staff leaves
12-hour night shifts (1845-0715)
Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
No guarantee of hours
Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes

Requirements

Active HI RN license required by start of assignment; may apply upon offer acceptance if not currently licensed
BLS and ACLS certifications required
PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
2-10 years of nursing experience required
Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted

Additional Information

Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for a scheduled appointment
Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
Unit-specific orientation and training time provided
Professional nursing attire required, including clean scrubs
