Travel Nurse Job Details

• Schedule: 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: Jump Start orientation with general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, and EPIC classes
• Floating: May float to other medical units as needed
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• BLS certification through the AHA required
• At least 1.5 years of Level I, Level II, or tertiary care experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting with 450+ beds
• Strong Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment with diverse patient acuity
• Flexibility to float to other medical units based on patient care needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform patient assessments, care planning, and ongoing clinical evaluations
• Communicate effectively with the inter-professional healthcare team
• Use EPIC and unit equipment to support safe, efficient patient care
• Administer and monitor IV therapy, heparin drips, insulin drips, and other ordered treatments
• Manage wound vacs, feeding tubes, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and supportive care equipment
• Monitor blood glucose levels, telemetry, and overall patient safety needs
• Support patients recovering from procedures and those with chronic illnesses, infections, neurological concerns, and GI conditions
• Float to other medical units as needed to meet patient care demands
