• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation with Jump Start onboarding and Epic training
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• At least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg experience in a large hospital setting with 450+ beds
• Strong clinical skills in a fast-paced acute care or medical-surgical nursing environment
• Experience with Epic charting is preferred and supported through orientation
• Ability to float to other medical units based on patient care needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care for a diverse adult patient population
• Perform comprehensive assessments, care planning, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Manage IV therapy, heparin and insulin drips, feeding tubes, wound vacs, chest tubes, and related equipment
• Use telemetry, Accu-Chek blood glucose systems, IV pumps, SCDs, and other unit equipment effectively
• Care for patients with chronic illness, infections, neurological conditions, GI disorders, and mental health needs
• Support patients undergoing procedures or minor surgeries and assist with post-procedure care
• Float to other medical units as needed to meet patient care demands
