Job Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• BLS certification through AHA
• At least 1.5 years of Level I, Level II, or tertiary care experience
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting (450+ beds)
• Experience with acute care medical-surgical patient populations
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Comfort working 12-hour shifts and supporting a 1:5-6 patient ratio

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse inpatient population
• Perform patient assessments, care planning, and ongoing reassessments
• Administer and manage IV therapy, heparin drips, insulin drips, and related treatments
• Support patients with wound care, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and mobility assistance
• Monitor telemetry, perform blood glucose testing, and use common inpatient equipment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of patient safety
• Adapt to changing patient needs and float to other medical units when required
