Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring an active IL RN license and Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg overflow unit within an inpatient hospital setting
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week over 3 days
  • Weekend shifts as needed
  • Holiday shifts as needed
  • Floating required as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

  • Provides direct patient care including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient education
  • Receives bedside shift report and delegates tasks to HCTs
  • Maintains patient safety through fall precautions, isolation precautions, and ambulation safety protocols
  • Facilitates timely admission and discharge processes for Observation status patients
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not eligible
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not be on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year continuously without a 6-month break in service
