Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Tele RN (Travel Nurse)
• Setting: Acute care medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Location: Fargo, ND 58104
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Estimated Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
• Schedule Notes: Day/night rotation, every other weekend, and every other holiday
• Charting System: EPIC
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 4-5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights
• Floating: Expected to float to other med/surg units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds preferred
• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state, or willingness to obtain
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• NIHSS certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records strongly preferred
• Cardiac telemetry experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to float to all units/locations as needed within the assigned care setting
• Must be comfortable with a rotating day/night schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Complete thorough assessments, documentation, medication administration, and nursing interventions
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Use EPIC and unit-based equipment, including Omnicell and Alaris IV pumps
• Adapt to unit needs by floating to additional med/surg areas when required
• Maintain professional communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care
• Follow unit standards, schedule expectations, and facility badge procedures
