Job Details

• Setting: Acute care Medical/Surgical unit
• Location: Fargo, North Dakota
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
• Unit Size: 15 beds, all private rooms
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights
• Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend and every other holiday; no call
• Charting System: Epic
• Additional Tools: Zebra phones, Omnicell, and Aleris IV pumps
• Floating: May float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Level I trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced acute care environment
• Active RN license eligible for submission

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to general Medical/Surgical patients
• Perform initial admissions and stabilize patients awaiting transfer to their assigned unit
• Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies using unit equipment and protocols
• Support safe, efficient patient flow in a high-volume acute care setting
• Float to other Medical/Surgical areas when needed
