Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring an active IL RN license, EPIC charting experience, and Level 1 Trauma background.

Details

• Inpatient overflow Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00AM-7:30PM
• 3 shifts per week, 36 hours weekly
• Weekend and holiday shifts required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Documentation and Emergency Department nursing skills preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient education following the nursing process
• Receive bedside shift report and delegate tasks to healthcare care team members (HCTs)
• Complete hourly rounding and maintain patient safety through fall precaution and isolation compliance
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and support timely discharge planning
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if previously on assignment for more than 1 year
• Travel partner arrangements are not accepted for this position
