Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• Experience in a high-acuity acute care, hospital, or inpatient nursing environment strongly valued
• Active New Hampshire RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• ACLS preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Travel nurse experience preferred, though first-time travelers may be considered
• Updated resume, skills checklist, driver's license, and NURSYS verification required for submission

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting
• Monitor patients with varying acuity levels and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes
• Manage patient assignments within established ratios while maintaining strong clinical judgment and time management
• Support respiratory-focused and high-acuity patient needs as part of the unit's daily workflow
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Maintain readiness to float to nearby facilities when needed
• Provide professional nursing care during night shifts and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a travel healthcare environment
