Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a compact or Iowa RN license and prior deep cardiac and cardiac drips experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Deep cardiac experience required
• Cardiac drips experience required
• Mandatory reporter certification required
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the last 2 years of employment required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Provide and manage patient care across the Med/Surg unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Holiday coverage required, with travelers expected to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the periods of 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2, regardless of holidays worked
• Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission
