Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine or authorization to practice pending endorsement
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BLS required
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to function independently and thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Collaborate with physicians, patient care team members, and families to develop and follow care plans
• Support teamwork and communication across the care team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold confidentiality and facility policies
• Deliver safe, compassionate inpatient care while adapting to the needs of a busy Med/Surg unit
