Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience required
• Current RN licensure in the state of Maine or authorization to practice pending endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current BCLS required
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to function independently in a Med/Surg setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care in accordance with professional standards and unit protocols
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Collaborate with physicians, care team members, patients, and families to develop effective patient care plans
• Support teamwork and communication throughout the hospital and on the unit
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility expectations
• Follow policies related to confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA compliance
• Provide safe, compassionate, and reliable care during night shift coverage
