Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg (Telemetry) for a long-term assignment requiring a GA or Compact RN license and 18 months of recent experience.

Details

  • Work within the internal float pool handling ED border patients within RN specialty
  • Float between two Emory hospital campuses as needed, primarily supporting the Decatur location
  • Floating occurs within the RN's specialty and assignment is communicated prior to each shift
  • 3x12-hour AM shifts totaling 36 hours per week
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active Georgia or Compact RN license required in hand
  • Minimum 18 months of recent RN experience required
  • BLS certification required

Additional Information

  • Care for ED border patients and float between facilities based on daily staffing needs
  • Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
  • All time off must be requested and finalized prior to the start of the assignment
  • RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if falling on or near a holiday
  • Only one holiday time-off request is permitted, and RTO days during holiday periods must be spread out rather than consecutive
  • Former Emory or Houston Methodist perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
