Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in a telemetry or acute-care setting
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical judgment skills
• Commitment to safe, compassionate, patient-centered care

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients requiring telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, symptoms, and overall clinical status
• Identify and promptly escalate significant changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and protocols
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, document care, and update patient records
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and continuity of care throughout the travel nursing assignment
