Travel Nurse Job Details

Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or a comparable medical-surgical or acute-care setting
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Current certifications required by the clinical setting
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and fulfill the guaranteed weekly schedule

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients throughout the shift
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and other indicators of patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
• Recognize and promptly respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established safety and infection-control practices
