Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a critical access hospital, requiring 1+ years experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Medical Surgical Combination unit in an 18-bed critical access hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• Night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Rotating weekend requirements
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• ADN or BSN required
• Experience with IV therapy, foley catheters, pain management, and EMAR required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start date
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, hip fracture, altered mental status, falls, UTI, and abdominal pain
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Any scrub color accepted; no casual wear permitted

• Located in Carthage, TN on the Cumberland River, offering water activities and about an hour from Nashville
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Local candidates within the radius may be considered at a local rate

• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
