Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) travel assignment requiring TN or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a 25-bed critical access hospital
• 18-bed unit with adult and geriatric patients, occasional pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, hip fracture, altered mental status, falls, UTI, and abdominal pain
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Rotating weekend requirements
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• ADN or BSN required
• Experience with IV therapy, foley catheters, pain management, and EMAR required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start date
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Scrubs of any color accepted; no casual attire permitted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at local rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
