**Join Our Dynamic Med Surg Team!** **Job Description:** - Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM - Unit: 12 Tower - Cost Center: 60326 - Total Beds: 36 - Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5 **What You'll Love:** - A **supportive team** with a youthful spirit, eager to enhance patient outcomes together - Solid **staffing support**: Secretary on duty every day and PRN techs available - Opportunity to work with **advanced equipment**: PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps - Utilization of **Meditech** for efficient documentation - **Weekend work**: 4 shifts required in a 4-week rotation - Floating to other units as necessary; you'll be part of the core staff **Your Responsibilities:** - Perform **basic patient assessments** and maintain care for: - Wounds, Tracheostomy, Ostomy, Drains, Chest Tubes - Stroke and Seizure patients - Manage post-operative care for: - Amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs - Ensure **patient safety** and satisfaction through: - Bedside shift reports and regular safety checks (every 1-2 hours) **Requirements:** - **Certifications**: BLS, NIHSS - Minimum of **2 years’ experience** in a Med Surg setting - Familiarity with managing dialysis or PCA pumps; knowledge of Heparin drips **Dress Code:** - Scrubs: Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, Ceil Blue **Unit Guidelines / Policies:** - Adhere to **HAI prevention** protocols (CVC and Foley monitoring) - Commit to **fall prevention** tactics - Participate in **medication scanning** (100% compliance) including controlled substances - Follow attendance policy **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
