**Exciting Opportunity for Med/Surg RN – Night Shift!** **Job Description:** - Join our dynamic team and provide exceptional care in a fast-paced Post-Op Med/Surg unit! - **Unit Specifics:** - Number of Beds: 34 - Patient Ratios: 6:1 - Supported by techs and unit secretaries for efficient operations. - **Key Equipment:** - IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG Machines, Bladder Scanner, iMobile Communication Technology. - **Documentation System:** - Utilize Meditech for streamlined patient care. - **Scheduling Requirements:** - 3 shifts per week (12 hours each) - 2 weekend shifts (4 shifts total) in a 4-week schedule. - **Floating Policy:** - Contract labor is the first to float, with staff rotating when multiple contract staff are scheduled. - **Patient Experience Expectations:** - Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and families. - Conduct bedside shift reports and foster personal connections with patients. - **Hiring Profile:** - **Requested Skills:** - Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. - **Must Have:** - Active RN license, BLS certification. - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - N/A - **Required Certifications:** - BLS - **Dress Code:** - Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms). - **Why Choose This Unit?** - Access to new equipment and technology. - Diverse tenure and experience of staff. - Flexible scheduling options. --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
