Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1+ years of experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 57-bed Medical-Surgical unit spanning the 3rd and 4th floors
• Patient population includes all ages with common diagnoses of COPD, post-op joint replacements, and diabetes
• Patient ratio up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
• Uses MediTech EHR
• 12-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend or as-needed weekend coverage required
• On-call as needed
• Floating as needed with possibility to float to like units

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required
• Kentucky RN licensure/certification required to practice
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg patients including post-op joint and diabetic populations
• Facility is a Joint Commission-accredited hospital serving as the sole acute care provider in the county
• Scrubs of any color accepted, though attire branded with other facilities' logos is not permitted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
