Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring 1+ years of experience and current ACLS, BLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB certifications.

Details

• Med/Surg unit spanning the 3rd and 4th floors of a 107-bed acute care hospital
• 57-bed unit serving all ages with common diagnoses including COPD, post-op joints, and diabetic conditions
• Patient ratios up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
• Uses MediTech EHR system
• 13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift schedule
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Call requirements as needed
• Floating as needed with possibility of floating to similar units

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required
• Certifications and licensure required to legally work as an RN in Kentucky
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse Med/Surg population including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
• Kind, caring, and compassionate personality fit preferred by the unit
• Scrubs of any color accepted, but attire branded with other facilities is not permitted
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
