Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center requiring at least 2 years of high-acuity hospital experience.

Details

• Dedicated education unit caring for Med/Surg patients (travelers are not responsible for educating)
• 30-bed unit with mixed Med/Surg patient population
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred scheduling type with no block scheduling approved on most units
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large hospital experience required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments managing complex and critical cases
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

• Care for high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma patients with complex and challenging cases
• No RTO permitted during this assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Positive attitude and timeliness expected
