Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center requiring 2+ years of high-acuity hospital experience.

Details

• 30-bed dedicated education unit caring for a mixed Med/Surg patient population (travelers will not be responsible for educating)
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Deferred scheduling type
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large hospital experience required
• Proven success working in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with diverse and severe cases
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg patients in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• No RTO permitted during the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as traveling candidates
• Positive attitude and timeliness are highly valued
