Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Med/Surg unit. We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive team atmosphere while making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Unit Staffing Description: Tech support on day shift and night shift; Unit secretary available from 7a-7p.
• Type of Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology.
• Documentation System: Meditech.
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours/week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is first to float; rotations apply when multiple contract staff are scheduled.
• Patient Experience Requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members, including bedside shift reports and personal connections.

Hospital Specifics:

• Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center.

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:

• Med/Surg Experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
• IV Start Skills
• Basic Wound Care
• Maintenance of Surgical Drains, Nasogastric Tubes, & Chest Tubes

Must Have:

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification

Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms.
