Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Ortho RN for a fast-paced post-op unit requiring 2 years of recent experience and BLS certification.

Details

Med/Surg Ortho/Surgery Post-Op unit within a 30-bed hospital department
Patient population consists of surgical and orthopedic post-op patients
Patient ratio of 6:1
PM shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
Floating required as needed
Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

Active RN license (AL state or compact) required
Current BLS certification (AHA only accepted)
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or ortho post-op experience required
Strong time management, positive attitude, and strong work ethic and attendance required

Additional Information

Bedside shift report required at start of shift
Fast-paced unit requiring quick thinking, confidence, and hard work
Navy scrubs required
No fake, gel, wrapped, or dipped nails permitted
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for consideration
No local candidates accepted
