Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a medical surgical setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient care, possess the necessary qualifications, and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Job Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Responsibilities

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients.
  • Monitoring and assessing patient conditions to ensure effective treatment.
  • Administering medications and providing education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
  • Documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a current license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (pending acceptance if obtained prior to start).
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR.
  • Permanent residence located over 50 miles from the facility.

Additional Information

  • This position may require floating to other units as necessary.
  • Accommodations for 48-hour work week scheduling requests are available.
  • The facility contains a specified number of patient beds.
  • One year of experience in an acute care setting is required.
