Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Surgical - Neuro Registered Nurse in Winston-Salem, NC. We are seeking a skilled RN with a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team focused on delivering quality healthcare.

Job Details:

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years with 1 year of direct MedSurg experience.
• Traveler Experience: Unit will not accept 1st time travelers; must have at least 2 successful contracts before applying.
• Local Candidates: Accepted; rate difference applies.
• Required Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro experience.
• Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS; ACLS preferred but not required.
• Patient Ratios: 1:6.
• Patient Diagnoses: Primarily Stroke patients, Neurosurgery patients, and other Neuro diagnoses including Epilepsy and subdural hematomas.
• Unit Details: 4 Bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) with a daily census of 42.
• Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
• Scheduling: Preferred scheduling; travelers are required to work every other weekend.
• Unit Orientation: 36 hours.
• Scrubs: Navy.

Travelers may be required to float to other Med/Surg/Telemetry areas, including COVID care units. If a traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, they will be expected to make up the missed shifts based on unit needs. Frequent floating may be required, and block scheduling is not always guaranteed.
