Job Summary
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare organization. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a medially complex environment with cardiac monitoring capabilities, primarily for patient populations such as LVAD, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, wounds, and vents. The position requires working days, with every other weekend shifts, in a hospital setting that is not traditional medical/surgical.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN license, 1-2 years of experience, prior travel experience preferred, BLS certification (ACLS preferred), willingness to obtain or have a medical declination for flu vaccination, and ability to float to sister units as needed
  • Additional Information:
    • Responsible for IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight cath, Foley care, port access, central line dressings, and wound measurements
    • Must have experience with respiratory or vented patients if applicable
    • Orientation occurs every Monday, with profiles that are clear and easy to follow ready for review
    • Willingness to work in a medially complex environment with cardiac monitoring capabilities is essential
