Job Summary:
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a specialized medical environment. The role involves providing care to medically complex patients with cardiac monitoring, including LVAD, cerebrovascular accidents, acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, wounds, and ventilated patients. The RN will work primarily on the Medical Rehabilitation Unit (MRU) and Coronary Monitoring Unit (CMU), with cross-unit float opportunities. This position requires clinical expertise in complex patient management and adherence to unit-specific procedures.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN license with 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting; prior travel experience preferred. Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory or vented patients.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required. Orientation takes place every Monday; profiles must be accurate and complete for review.
  • Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for IV starts, drips, medication administration, blood draws, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac management, wound dressings, airway care, suctioning, urinary catheterization, port access, central line dressings, and wound measurements. Willingness to obtain or currently have justifiably declined influenza vaccinations; personal or religious declinations are not accepted.
