Job Title: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: LICSW Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Full Independent Clinical Social Worker License required Certifications: LCSW, LMFT, LMHC Must-Have: Must have full licensure; an associate license will not suffice. Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics. Client experience preferred. Description: This position will float between units. On-call duty is not required. Weekends are required; the schedule includes every other weekend. No block schedules are required. Ratios are expected to be 7 patients. The role will involve conducting evaluations for level of risk for danger to self, danger to others, or being gravely disabled. The candidate will provide a level of care recommendation as a consultant. The workload will include working in the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room. Expectations are to work shifts from 07:00 - 17:00 on designated weekends. If overstaffed, the role may involve rotating to complete similar duties at neighboring facilities. The patient age groups served will include both adults and pediatrics. The daily census is expected to be around 7 patients. This role will involve assessing and managing patients diagnosed with mental health illnesses and substance use disorders. The position will engage with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate continuity of care. Designated tasks will include crisis intervention, conducting mental health assessments, and facilitating discharge planning. Documentation of pertinent information to facilitate care coordination is required. The candidate must be skilled in conducting initial evaluations and crisis assessments, as well as case management. The position requires strong abilities in collecting and analyzing patient information. Education of patients and caregivers is a key component of this role. The candidate must possess knowledge of ethical principles and cultural issues. Experience with Medicaid and Medicare guidelines is advantageous. References and a strong background in emergency departmental settings are preferred.
