Description

Job Title: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have full licensure; an associate license will not suffice. Certifications: LCSW, LMFT, LMHC Must-Have: - Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker. - Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics. - Client experience preferred. Description: The position will float between units as needed. On-call is not required. Weekends are required, with every other weekend expected. Block schedules are not required. The expected patient ratio is 7 per clinician. The role involves conducting crisis assessments and evaluations for risks such as danger to self or others. A level of care recommendation will be provided as a consultant to the attending provider or APP. Candidates must have experience working with patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorders. The facility is a Short Term Acute Care/Level II Trauma Center. Travel between sister facilities may be required in specific situations. This role includes providing crisis intervention and mental health assessments. Candidates must have knowledge of cultural issues, including Medicaid and Medicare. Crisis intervention responsibilities will include dealing with suicides and related issues. Documentation of assessments and treatment plans is essential for care coordination. Education for patients and caregivers on treatment options is a critical part of the role. The candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
