Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN with therapeutic cooling experience and TN or compact RN licensure for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting
• Cares for premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates including infants requiring advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling
• Day shift schedule, 06:45-19:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3-4+ years of Level III NICU experience preferred
• Hands-on therapeutic hypothermia/cooling experience required
• Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen
• Experience managing central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)
• Experience administering and titrating IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
• Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced NICU environment

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity and critically ill neonates
• Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization efforts
• Recognize and respond quickly to neonatal deterioration and emergencies
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary NICU team
• Provide education and emotional support to families throughout the infant's hospitalization
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rules
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Previous travel experience preferred but first-time travelers may be considered
