Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP night shift position requiring ACLS, NRP, and 1 year of recent L&D or postpartum experience.
Details
- Perinatal Float Pool position covering Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby Units
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
- Labor & Delivery Unit includes 12 labor rooms, a 4-bed triage area, 3 ORs, and a 2-bay PACU
- Mother Baby Unit has 27 beds
- High-risk labor and delivery unit that also cares for high-risk antepartum patients
- Triage unit sees patients from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
- Provides intrapartum, antepartum, and newborn care to low- and high-risk populations
- Floats between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby Units as needed, potentially every 4 hours
- May float to affiliate hospitals nearby
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- OR RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA-issued, traditional format only; RQI not accepted)
- NRP certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or postpartum RN experience (2+ years required per compliance guidelines)
- Epic charting experience required
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months (charge RN references not accepted)
- Work history verification covering the last seven years, including city, state, dates of employment, and PTO
- Relias exam score of 85% or higher required
- Must pass comprehensive lifetime background check with no license or background hits accepted
- COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions
Additional Information
- L&D and postpartum skillset preferred with ability to float to Mother Baby Unit
- Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- RTO must be submitted upfront and cannot exceed 2 weeks
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
- Former OHSU employees or previous travelers must be gone at least 6 months to return, and require a reference from their prior OHSU manager
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on position details
- 13-week minimum contract length, with longer contracts available upon request
