This role involves delivering safe, therapeutic, and individualized patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and promoting quality outcomes for maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provides care to patients and families, progressing them towards holistic, individualized goals. Performs nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Promotes quality outcomes and collaborates with team members in managing complex or high-risk situations. Serves as patient and family advocate, ensuring excellent and satisfying care.
  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license required; CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced or Intermediate Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) certification required. Minimum of three years of recent RN experience working in a general RN role, with at least two years in a specialty area, specifically in Labor and Delivery.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shift, Days, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The RN will assess patient and family needs, develop and implement age-appropriate care plans, evaluate patient progress, and serve as an advocate. Responsibilities include care coordination, documentation, educational planning based on adult learning theory, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must hold a valid California RN license and relevant certifications at the time of assignment.
