Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Issaquah, Washington. This position involves providing comprehensive care in the Labor and Delivery Department of the healthcare facility. The role requires skilled obstetrical nursing with experience in managing labor, preterm labor, and high-risk deliveries, supporting safe and efficient patient care.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, and current certifications including BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate. Certification in ACLS is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience is required; previous charge experience, community hospital experience, or trauma level I or II experience are not required but may be advantageous.
- Clinical Skills: Administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for cesarean sections, managing epidural anesthesia, wound care, and nurses' competencies in high-risk obstetrical procedures.
- Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, and adults with diagnoses including labor and preterm labor, with a daily census of 200-300 patients.
- Additional Responsibilities: Attending all deliveries and high-risk obstetrical cases, supporting GYN surgeries, postpartum, and transition nursery care, with opportunities to float to related units like postpartum and labor & delivery based on skill set.
- Other Requirements: Must be able to work during 3 out of 5 holidays, adhere to facility policies on floating, and successfully complete required modules before start. References covering at least 1 year of recent clinical experience are mandatory.
