Labor and Delivery registered nurse (RN) position located in an acute care hospital. This role involves managing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal care within a community hospital setting. The position requires providing high-quality patient care during vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum procedures, with a focus on safety, comfort, and education for patients and families.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: 3 years of nursing experience, current certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced AWHONN (Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certifications. Experience in community hospital settings preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Labor and Delivery management experience, assistance with high-risk deliveries, scrub for cesarean sections, and familiarity with low-risk labor management.
  • On-call Requirement: Yes, 2 mandatory on-call shifts every 6-week schedule period.
  • Float: RN is expected to care for any patient within the Labor and Delivery unit, including triage, cesarean cases, and postpartum care, with regular floating between departments and facilities as needed.
  • Additional Information: The role involves managing antepartum testing, performing sterile speculum exams, assisting with vaginal deliveries, and providing postpartum education and care. Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate proficiency with charting in Epic, and adhere to safety protocols.
